For such a traditional, Catholic country, Rio’s main cathedral is uniquely unique and modern. The cathedral, located downtown, resembles a giant Maya pyramid with a stained-glass cross in the ceiling.

Huge from the outside, the inner architecture with the colored windows is magnificent. Our tour guide also explained the history in detail, and we learned a lot :)

Um passeio muito interessante para se acrescentar a cultura geral é conhecer a Catedral Metropolitana. No subsolo ainda fica o Museu de Arte Sacra. É um passeio bem diferente!
